Sunset Residence

The Sunset Kitchen was a complete transformation of a once dark and dated space into a warm, sophisticated kitchen designed for modern living. Located in Southwest Las Vegas, this renovation focused on creating a space that feels both elevated and highly functional, proving that thoughtful design can completely redefine the way a home is experienced.

Every detail was carefully considered—from new flooring and cabinetry to updated appliances, paint, hardware, and hard surface selections. A custom Roman Clay hood serves as a focal point, adding texture and softness while complementing the kitchen's warm and layered palette.

To bring character and craftsmanship into the space, we selected handmade 2x2 Moroccan zellige tile in an off-white finish for the backsplash. The subtle variation and texture of the tile add depth while maintaining a timeless and neutral aesthetic. Above the island, two decorative pendants introduce warmth and provide a layer of ambient lighting, helping define the heart of the kitchen.

Storage and functionality were major priorities throughout the design. We extended the cabinetry all the way to the ceiling to maximize storage and visually enhance the height of the room, making the kitchen feel larger and more expansive. The pantry was also reconfigured using matching cabinetry, replacing simple shelving with a more functional layout that includes interior drawers for improved organization and accessibility.

Open shelving was incorporated to create a dedicated area for displaying personal décor and everyday items, allowing the homeowners to bring personality into the space. Warm brass cabinet hardware adds richness and contrast against the white cabinetry, while a matte black kitchen faucet introduces a modern element and creates visual interest within the neutral palette.

What was once a cramped kitchen with limited storage and little character is now a bright, welcoming space layered with texture, warmth, and thoughtful details. The result is a kitchen that feels effortlessly refined—where beautiful materials, practical solutions, and timeless design come together to create the true heart of the home.
